In the heart of Morón de la Frontera lies Aceitunas Guadalquivir (part of the Agolives group), a company with over 50 years of experience in the production and distribution of olives to more than 80 countries. With a turnover of around 350 million euros and more than 800 employees spread across various plants (including Morón de la Frontera, Madrid, Almendralejo, California, and Greece), Agolives has experienced rapid growth, explains José Delgado. The challenge: Goodbye to manual planning
In 2018, Agolives made the leap: they needed specialised software for demand forecasting and production planning. “Until that moment, we did almost everything in Excel and on paper,” comments José. Faced with the complexity of managing thousands of references and the strong seasonality of table olives, they considered implementing an advanced planner to help them make faster, data-driven decisions.
